Dr. Pennington holds the PhD in New Testament Studies from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland). He is Professor of New Testament Interpretation at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY as well as one of the teaching pastors at Sojourn East Church. He and his wife, Tracy, who is a professional mosaic artist, are the parents of six adult children. He is the author of many articles and books, including Jesus the Great Philosopher: Rediscovering the Wisdom Needed for the Good Life, The Sermon on the Mount and Human Flourishing, and Come and See: The Journey of Knowing God through Holy Scripture.
