Students read four short stories, one each week: Schulberg’s Your Arkansas Traveler, Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Sillitoe’s The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, and Munro’s The Bear Came Over the Mountain.  They will watch a film version of each, then follow with a discussion of both story and film.
