In this course – mostly discussion – we will attend to poems about that inescapable reality, time.  Is the present the time of our life?  Is time a friend or enemy?   Poets ask such questions about time in lively and beautiful language. We will consider personal and cultural meaning, how poems can move and inspire us.  If you weren’t much of a poetry fan before this class, don’t worry, you will soon become one.

Instructors:  Skip Renker and Julia Fogarty.  Skip has taught poetry classes at the college level for many years, as well as at Bay View.  He’s published 3 books.  Julia taught at Delta College, has judged numerous poetry contests, and was an editor at a prestigious poetry journal.
