Class: Titanic – Truths and Myths
There are many surprising facts about the Titanic. Legends and common knowledge about the great disaster are not always accurate. The Titanic disaster was multifaceted; like most large accidents, a combination of events had to occur for the disaster to take place. The events that fateful night displayed human drama as well as the technological aspects of the ship. This presentation is done in a “true” and “false” format with audience participation.
About the instructor: David Kaplan has been a Titanic historian for over 50 years. He has met eighteen Titanic survivors and has visited many Titanic-related worldwide sites.
