Bay View's Recreation Program is headed by Renée Allen, who is in her fourth year as director. She attended Western Michigan University, receiving degrees in recreation and health education while on a basketball scholarship. Ms. Allen holds a master's degree in exercise physiology and currently is working on a second masters in Community Resources from Michigan State University. She has spent 17 years in health care administration. Ms. Allen and recreation staff enthusiastically strive for a fun-filled recreation season. The vision of the recreation program is to foster safe, creative kids' play, lasting memories and help build strong character for our leaders of tomorrow. Tournaments, meets, picnics and regattas highlight the season along with a flag-raising for Fawns and Boys' and Girls' Club at 10 a.m. each morning.
