Bay View is easily accessible by automobile. From the south, take I-75 and get off at the Gaylord exit. Take M-32 west to U.S. 131 and follow U.S. 131 north to Petoskey. At the interesection of U.S. 131 and U.S. 31, follow U.S. 31 north through Petoskey until you come to Bay View. From the north, follow U.S. 31 south until you come to Bay View (about 35 miles from the Mackinac Bridge). Northwest Airlines also provides service to Pellston Regional Airport, which is about 20 miles north of Bay View.
